MONTHLY DEVOTIONAL
1st. August 2024
Child of God, of course, I wish you a very blessed month, and pray that the LORD God keeps you in good health, peace, and may his prosperity meet you well, now and always in the most faithful name of Yeshua Hamashia, amen.
I hope and pray that the protest in Nigeria is a peaceful one, that ends without blood-bath, either on the side of the protesters or the law enforcement. I would hope that the government would have empathy, by listening to the people, in order to see, hear, and feel their pain. Subsequently, do all within their capabilities to find a common ground with them, where they do not just feel heard, that you have their well-being in mind, but also where they understand, that you are able feel the depth of their pain, as to be willing to help sooth them appropriately. This is so important because, what you are not able to empathize with, you also cannot fix or sooth. The Bible says it best in the 53rd. Chapter of the Book of Isaiah, where it states that, “He felt our infirmities”, thus, by His strips, we are healed (paraphrased). You know, most times, we are very tough when talking the talk, but most of us have also come to realize if we are to be honest with ourselves, that we are nearly very weak indeed, when it comes to walking the walk. Therefore, action, which alleviates the pain of the people should be that, which speaks your intentions towards them, as opposed to the usual words of constant comfort or suggestions of eternal or permanent patience with the unfavorable and life robbing status quo a.k.a. THE GOSPEL OF ETERNAL PATIENCE WITH THE WICKEDNESS OF MAN.
I would love to use this month’s devotional to speak a bit of my mind to the government of NIGERIA, should they permit me to do so, with regards to “MR. NNAMDI KANU,” but first and foremost, I would want to use this avenue to thank God Almighty for this platform, which I am deeply grateful to HIM for, that HE has given me such a platform, which enables my voice to be heard by those that really matter, wherever and whoever they are (young and old, male and female, black and white, poor, rich and mega-wealthy, Christians and non-Christians).
I am deeply grateful to God Almighty for the privilege HE has given to me, to be able to speak to different issues and be heard by my precious ones. On that note, believe me child of God, when I tell you, that I do not see such blessing as trivial, but rather, I fully surrender to the established truth, that even without it generating money for now, I am truly blessed and profoundly honored for this platform. With that said – To God Almighty be all praise, honor and thanksgiving, now and forevermore, amen.
I would love to send my condolence to the Igbo people, the family and loved ones of these two great giants of Nigeria who just departed from us in the same year, in the same month, and only few days apart; the deceased president of the Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo, chief EMMANUEL IWUANYANWU, and the very beautiful, intelligent, powerful icon and legend Ms. ONYEKA ONWENU. Both of them were our Niaja household names and very formidable ones for that matter, so much so, that I am very delighted to know, that even in their well-advanced years, and as best as they were able to, they were still standing up for that which is right, not just for the well-being of the Igbos, but also for that of their larger family; Nigeria. I pray and truly hope that they made it to the eternal heavenly home; may God Almighty bless their souls, amen.
I am profoundly grateful to the late Ms. Onwenu for sharing her talent with us all, and for helping pave the way for so many Nigerian artists, especially girls and ladies who are now enjoying the much easier path, which such women like her, suffered almost all things, and sacrificed immensely for, thus, as the younger generations chart their own paths where hers stopped, I pray that they learn to emulate the good she worked hard to leave behind, while learning from the mistakes she must also have made along her path in the journey of life here on earth. I pray that God comforts her children, loved ones, friends and fans. I hope and genuinely pray that she made it, and that her soul is now finally and truly at rest and peace, amen.
To conclude my brief oration on these two deceased giants of Nigeria who were formidable forces in their individual spheres in their time, such occasion as their demise, should never pass by, without us using it as very strong reminder for us all to have that light bulb moment;
in as much as we should strive through godly or honest means, to be high achievers here on earth, yet, when all is said and done, it is the kind of legacy we leave behind, and where our eternal abode would be, that matters the most. Therefore:
- The life we live here on earth, matters.
- The way we treat one another, even strangers, matters.
- Most importantly, our relationship with the only Holy God Almighty, Who will neither share His glory with another, nor his praise with idols, matters much more than all these other things we strive for!
Now, let us talk a bit about Mr. Nnamdi Kanu – I have come to read, that Mr. Emmanuel Iwuanyawu was not even from the same state as Mr. Nnmadi Kanu, yet, he deemed it fit to call him his son. In His video which is still in my private YouTube Channel, under MOTIVATIONAL, he also mentioned that not just Nnamdi Kanu, but all Igbos were his sons (Children), and from what he was speaking about with regards to why Mr. Nnamdi Kanu was agitating, he also mentioned, that all Nigerian youths are feeling the same way too, thereby, also adopting all others in their struggles for a better future in, and for Nigeria, as his sons as well. I do not know what his spirit was like, neither do I know about his private life, which are places where I might find things to disagree with him on, as we all, in one area of our lives or another, do not have the best resume which we would be proud of, should they be presented to the public. Therefore, since he was not a priest, pastor, etc., then, I am not writing about the spirit or private man, but his public stance on that, which the public demands an answer to, or at least, demands his opinion about.
In our different ways, the way we speak up for those who have no voice, matters. Thus, he spoke up for Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, who is my topic of this month’s devotional. To that effect, I am pleading with the Nigerian judiciary system as well as the Nigerian Government, to take the case of Mr. Nnamdi Kanu seriously, and deal with it once and for all, as not to make it seem as though justice is being perverted against him, with the aim to keep on delaying it, have him mysteriously die in detention, or expire a while after he has been set free. Without considering the spiritual factors, thus, from a human perspective, where this situation with regards to Mr. Nnamdi Kanu is being considered, I do believe in what the law states, that one is innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt. My opinion which should not be considered an attempt to sway yours is, that he has suffered enough, and he has generally lost more than enough. Furthermore, he has made multiple repentant attempts to appeal to the government for mercy. As a result, I do believe that he should be forgiven, because let us not forget as well, that the Nigerian government itself did not act appropriately, given the fact, that his extradition to Nigeria from KENYA, a.k.a. Umarudiko-style, is equally not how a nation that respects the rule of law, should act. Consequently, I do believe that he “also” deserves to receive leniency, and I hope and pray, that it is granted him soon.
WHAT IS MY PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH MR. NNAMDI KANU?
NONE WHATSOEVER! Besides him being a Nigerian brother, an Igbo brother, and a child of God, I have no relationship with him.
Let me be clear: I do not know Mr. Nnamdi Kanu personally. I have never seen him besides watching just few YouTube videos about him shortly before his arrest, which is a reminder to me right now, within the next weeks, to go watch more videos about him, to really get to know what he stands for and what motivated him to have the kind of drive like he did. Like I said, I do not know him, or anyone who knows him. I am not an IPOB member, neither do I have any affiliation to anyone who is, but if I do, then most definitely because they have not made their identities known to me. I do not encourage violence. I am a child of God Almighty who happens to be a Nigerian and from the east of Nigeria, therefore, what concerns and pains my people, both larger family (Nigeria) or immediate one (Igbos), equally concerns and pains me. As a result, sometimes, God speaks to me with regards to different situations which affects the souls and spirits of His children and when HE does, then, I speak about it the best way I can. Consequently, it might be perceived by most people, as an insult to them and to the powers there be, that I do not have the right to speak to such matters. Such mindset is due to their beliefs, understanding or requirements, such, which I may not meet up with. That notwithstanding, as a daughter of Nigeria, and a citizen of HEAVEN, but in transition here in this world, just like many of us, who are the genuine children of God Almighty, and for this last reason, I have my most honored title, being “The DAUGHTER OF GOD ALMIGHTY, THE KING over all kings.” Hence, I speak:
I PLEAD FOR LENIENCY ON HIS BEHALF BECAUSE I DO BELIEVE IT IS TIME TO SHOW HIM MERCY AND SET HIM FREE.
Furthermore, because I am a concerned citizen of Nigeria, therefore, for the good of the nation, just like the late Chief Iwuanyanwu and many others within Nigeria have also mentioned, if we are to extend an olive branch to all, which has in the recent times past, been extended to some others, who have had similar cases as Kanu’s, but who happened to have people seated in the arms of government, thus, had their best interest at heart, and as a result, the willingness to grant them leniency was not hard fought. Likewise, I think, that showing Mr. Nnamdi Kanu leniency, and reaching a deal with him as to what he is allowed to do, and what not within the borders of Nigeria, is one of the ways to begin.
“SINCE WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE GOOSE IS EQUALLY GOOD FOR THE GANDER, THEREFORE, IT IS VITAL TO STOP TREATING NNAMDI KANU LIKE AN ORPHAN, THE ONE WHO HAS NO ONE TO TURN TO.”
In addition, with regards to the killings of soldiers who have done you no wrong, but rather, who were about their duties of protecting the nation in the east on Nigeria, Abia State, or anywhere else, for those who do not know, let me re-iterate my stand relative to such activities; It is a crime against God Almighty and against the state. I do not believe in rewarding activities of violence, especially against those who are protecting the state, the innocent, as well as the vulnerable who are innocent. I do not believe in showing leniency to people who are unrepentant in their evil activities or those who love to commit acts of despicable violence against humanity. Therefore, had Mr. Nnamdi Kanu not shown remorse, I would not have had any need to write about him, asking the Nigerian government, especially the President of Nigeria, his excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to kindly seek for his release, since it is evident, that the court is at its wits end with regards to his case.
It is imperative, that NIGERIA SHOULD NOT BE AGAINST HER OWN, IF SHE IS DEMANDING, THAT HER OWN SHOULD NOT BE AGAINST HER.
I do believe that the Nigerian government as well as the German government is able to run their investigations on me, which I do firmly believe they have already done, in order to ascertain, that I do not have any affiliation with any terrorist or even secessionist group. I do not get involved with such things, neither do I engage with people who do, but if at all, then only if I am unaware that they are. I only say what the LORD GOD shows me, tells me, or makes me feel or sense, but beyond that, I do not go. I am not a politician, I do not even consider myself an activist, or fitting into any of those boxes which different groups of people out there might try to put me in, but rather, I see myself as a child of God, a daughter of The Most High God, who is a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven, but in legal-transition here in this world, even as a Nigerian. Hence, I say what I hear, feel, see and sense from the LORD GOD, which I do not actively engage in, as to forcefully bring to manifestation by human will or design. Therefore, having realized that I do truly have the ears of a lot of people to the extent, that they literally act out; good or bad, based on what I say or write, as well as based on what some of them believe benefits them, despite the fact, that their interpretations of what I write or say, might be contrary to the will of God, with regards to what He speaks forth through me. Thus, the things which the Holy Spirit permits me to write or speak, are not intended to promote selfish, evil, ungodly, unjust intentions and agendas. In light of that fact, it has literally made me to take another approach for the time being, which is to hold my tongue most of the time, as I am fully mindful, that what the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY leads me to speak or write about is able to make, as well as break things and peoples. Does it make me happy to restrain myself from speaking as I please? No, absolutely not! Actually, I do not like the fact, that I am not able to parrot everything I feel, hear and see, while many others are able to do that with immunity.
Well, it is all to the Glory of God, the only Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omniscience, and Omni-present One, since what now is, has already been...Selah.
As a result, to God Almighty be all glory in the name of Yeshua Hamashia, Amen!
To be continued…..
Child of God Almighty, with regards to monthly devotionals – Till the first of next month!
Remain blessed.
