THE CHILDREN’S BREAD

– Weekly devotional –

Child of God, the Holy Spirit gave me a heart-breaking vision on the 31^st. December 2022, the last day of last year, which He wants me to write about in this week’s devotional. When I came out of this vision, I was really heart-broken. This is so because so many people are literally in bondage, and are dying in silence, regardless of their social status, position, and money. Sometimes, after the Holy Spirit would have revealed to me about what an individual is going through or the baggage full of dark secrets, that they are carrying with them, while they journey along life, I cannot help but feel sorry for them, and begin to pray for them, peradventure God may show them mercy.

“Obey your father and your mother, that your days may be long.” (Exodus 20:12), is the command with a promise of long life attached to it. Nonetheless, I have seen, and heard about people who never obeyed their parents a day in their lives, yet, they lived much longer than those who did – Ouch! Although, the Bible commands us to do so, and it is something that we all must do as it is indeed, the right thing to do: Respect our parents, the elderly, one another, and those who are in authority over us, yet, the WORD of God Himself, Jesus Christ, clearly said to His disciples,

“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.“

Matthew 11:34-36, NKJV.

Child of God, if you ponder a bit on what the MESSIAH said, does it not send chills down your spine? If you are a lover of Jesus Christ, and a bit like me, then, it would make you go into trying to, either not preach on it at all, or on the alternative, shout into submission, anybody, who even dare to have taken notice of it as not to have to deal with explaining the truth, that the Messiah truly said it! How can The Prince of Peace, say something so cruel and rebellious? I want you to bear in mind, that I am looking at this Scripture from the perspective of a newbie in Christ; Someone, who has just read this Bible portion for the first time, and who had neither read the Bible commentaries, nor heard it explained by a preacher, or teacher of the word, who is already abreast of things!

How could Jesus, The Christ, make us privy to the plan of His heart; One of the reasons why He came into the world in such a traumatic manner? If we take what He said literally, it simply means, that one of the main reasons why He was here on earth, was to disobey His Father’s command, as well as to turn us, who follow and listen to Him, against His Father’s orders! He even had the audacity to publicly declare such plan to all who cared to listen to HIM! I mean, shouldn’t such highly controversial plan, not have been better off left within the confinement of men’s locker room?

• Could that be an indication to why Jesus never lived long?

• Could it have been the reason why Jesus was betrayed by Judas, because Judas was deeply offended by such never heard before proclamation, which Jesus loudly and boldly made?

• Could a generational curse have kicked in from thence-forth against Jesus and as a result, against His earthly family, as well as against us all, who now follow Him?

• Was Jesus a leader of “The rebellious-twelve?” . Hence, could it also be the reason why most of the twelve Apostles died prematurely, because of the generational curse, or because they walked with Jesus, who eventually corrupted their good manners, since it is written in the word, that evil company corrupts good manners?

My answer to the above questions is: CERTAINLY NOT, but rather, I believe, that with everything in life, there are always two parts, or two sides; God’s way and Satan’s way, right and wrong, light and darkness, the narrow, and broad way, and to fully understand that our holy God is a very mysterious GOD, His word declares,

“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

 Isaiah 55:9

THE WORLD’S & SATAN’S UNDERSTANDING OF PEACE is for us never to dance out of the already existing line, which simply put, means:

• DON’T ask questions!

• Don’t challenge anything!

• Don’t peep under the table!

• Don’t try to bring any binoculars near the minister’s immaculate white robe, in order to see if it is truly white, or could your eyes be indeed, gas-lighting you, that his garment seems to be like the color of the chameleon; Ever-changing colors?

GOD’S INTERPRETATION OF PEACE: is Jesus Christ!

How? In last week’s devotional we looked a bit into how Jesus, is truly The PRINCE of PEACE, but furthermore, the word of God states,

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have eternal life!”

Now, we have it! JESUS is our holy Father’s way of expressing His peace to us, who had no peace, knew no peace, and are incapable of attaining, and sustaining any form of true peace, without God’s intervention through His true PEACE- Jesus Christ!

Speaking to the men of this world, Jesus, Whom the Scripture describes as the Prince of Peace, said to them, that He did not come to bring peace but a sword. I must confess that the first time I really came across this portion of the bible, and because I took it at face value, I couldn’t connect with Jesus at all! I felt Jesus was too controversial for my liking as He was not showing a good example to follow, going by what He said! It took me to become more matured in the things of the spirit, and also through first hand experiences as it relates to this portion of the Scripture to fully comprehend and appreciate what He meant! I began to grasp the dept of what He was teaching us with that particular statement, meaning, that He did not come to give us what we were used to, but rather, something somewhat different, and to some extent, completely opposite! This makes no sense on a surface level, yet, it makes us to understand that Jesus Christ, was trying to make them cognizant of the fact, that the kind of peace they were used to, was the false peace! What they considered as peace, was in actual sense – Wickedness, tribulation, manipulation, deception, tricks and lies, but disguised as peace!

Jesus went further in His “shock-and-awe” teaching, to intimate them on His secret plans as it relates to the statement He had just made to them; Expounding it to them, that He had come to bring a sword, which is symbolic of division by His word. Child of God, to give it to you in the language which should help you to better understand the mission of Jesus Christ: He came to slice and dice! He told them that He came to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and even a daughter in-law against her mother in-law! If I were one of the 12 brave men, who were following Him, I do believe that I would have taken to the hills, ran far away from Jesus, and even further away from anywhere, His name would have been mentioned as that which He told them, would have just been too much for me to chew!

What Jesus was telling them, was just as simple as He meant it: I have come to open the eyes of my innocent sons, daughters, daughters’ in-law, sons’ in-law, for them to be able to discern fathers, mothers, mother in-laws, father in-laws, spiritual-fathers, and spiritual mothers, who are of the devil; Satanic agents, or wolves! Consequently, granting His chosen ones, the permission to denounce their evil traditions, orders, demands, requests, requirements, suggestions, rituals, sacrifices, covenants, ways, etc. and by so doing, rejection, war, and division is the inevitable result!

True peace can only be attained when the whole cards are placed on the table, which means, when genuine confessions are made, and those who are perpetrators of evil acts, genuinely seek for forgiveness for what they have done to the innocent, and try the best, that they can to undo the evil, which they have done, then, live their lives from thence-forth, in ways that proves to God and man, that they are indeed genuinely repentant. This does not mean that they will not miss the mark every now and again, as we all do, since we are living in a fallen world. Nonetheless, that which distinguishes those who are God’s children and those who have fallen at Satan’s feet, wailing before him, day and night, in order, to be adopted by him as his children is, that the children of God are never satisfied being in the mud. They are not content in sin. They are convicted of a lifestyle of sin, and do everything in their power to run out of it, and into who they truly are; Children of God, whose nature repels sin, and evil.

In the eyes of God Almighty, such sons and daughters have by no means, broken HIS command, therefore, they are entitled to long life, which was promised to them, by God Almighty, as they obeyed their only true and holy Father, and held Him in the highest esteem, in the stead of someone, who is a “God-hater!”

He went further to explain, that these evil-individuals, who are agents of the evil one, are disguised as fathers, mothers, father in-laws, mother in-laws, friends, sons’ and daughters’ in-laws, spouses, relatives, leaders, rulers, etc., thus, they are the enemies of the Godly and the innocent in families, communities, churches, and relationships.

CASE STUDY

I once watched a video some years ago, sent to me by someone, which in hindsight I wished I hadn’t watched as it made my stomach sick for a while. In this traumatic video, the principal actors, were two individuals, who were caught-in-the act! A man and a teenage girl. A visibly enraged man; One, among many people, who bust into the room and caught them in flagranti, began to beat up the man, who was completely naked and seated on a bed, by the side of a visibly shaken teenage girl, who was partially naked, and crying. These people, were demanding from the young girl to identify him, and she answered, “He is my father!” They proceeded with their inquiries by insisting, that she told them how long he had been having sexual intercourse with her, to which she replied as she sobbed, “For a long time!” Sons and daughters of God, this is a clear example of who Jesus, termed as an enemy as he is an “Evil father”, and “ungodly authority”, whose evil demands, orders, commands, and tradition, a godly daughter, son, or child in-law, must turn against, and having done that, it will not be counted unto them as disobedience, but rather, godly rebellion! Such a father is the enemy of a godly family! He is a wolf, masquerading as an authority figure to devour the sheep! What he had to offer was never peace, and consequently, the Prince of peace, had to come into that situation by orchestrating a sword-intervention, through those group of brave people, to expose, apprehend the evil-doer, and ultimately save the sheep from the possession of the strongman-wolf!

The above scenario, some-worth reminds me of the Bible story of the woman caught in adultery! The Prince of Peace didn’t just brandish His formidable sword, but He used it against the blood thirsty evil traditionalists, or as the case may be, religious mob, who had already lined up, getting themselves ready to, yet again, shed another blood of the particular offender, whose blood in their sight, was better to be shed, than that of the other, whom they deliberately allowed to escape, in order to save their evil tradition. They wanted to shed her blood to quench their thirst, but instead of achieving their aim as they were used to, rather, they met their water-loo with Jesus Christ, Who pulled out His formidable sword, by telling them exactly what they were not used to hearing, and also at the right time, in which they needed to hear it, which is right after they had the need to lecture Him, on what the law of Moses demanded to be done to her! JESUS, “#THE REAL SWORD“, told them, that anyone of them without sin, should dare cast the first stone, which messed up their tradition, their unjust process, deceptive and evil-peace! Sons and daughters of God, do you now understand why nobody can do us like Jesus Christ? You see why we freely worship God Almighty, through His expression of genuine Peace to us; Jesus Christ?!

I am used to many preachers, preaching and teaching, that we have to respect “ALL” authorities, be they good, or bad as they have been authorized by God to rule over us because it is written in the Scriptures. Therefore, so many, have resorted to using this particular portion of the Bible, to teach and admonish sons and daughters of God, against disobeying, or disagreeing with anyone, whom they find in positions of authority. I believe that such teaching is erroneous, although it is taken from the scriptures, yet, the Bible always explains itself in details, but only if we dig deeper and most importantly, as we allow the Holy Spirit to expound on such scriptures. Where we are still left confused, then, we have the clear words of Jesus Christ in the Bible to run back to as a solid, and safe place to find the real truth concerning anything, that has been said or written, because He is the Word of God the Father, made flesh!

I really want us to teach our young girls and boys, the perfect ways to respond to a father, uncle, spiritual father, or spiritual uncle, aunt, or, leader, who like the wife of Potiphar, is intent on raping them (robbing them). How do they obey in these instances? Is it proper for us to teach them, that because they are being harassed by someone in authority, to wait there in complete submission, and obedience till the wicked one in authority is done with his evil assignments against them, or do we rather teach them, that if everything else fails, that they are permitted to kick wolves between the legs, bite, poke their fingers into the wolves’ eyes, scream for help, or at least say, no to evil demands? Do we teach them to report such evil fellas, or do we rather teach them to keep quiet and protect the perpetrators as they are in authority? Do we tell them, that if they do not keep quiet, they will not live long because they would have offended the commands of God, and as a result, He would punish them for it, as though THE HOLY and RIGHTEOUS GOD, is a Lover of evil? Selah…!

Back in the days, when I was in high school in Nigeria, if some teachers decide to punish you and you happen to ask what you could have done to warrant such penalty, they would always shout this statement: OBEY BEFORE COMPLAINT! And God help you, if you didn’t quickly obey to do what they commanded you to do. I have literally witnessed male teachers swarming to the scenes like bees to support their fellow teachers. I have seen them aggressively surrounding certain tough headed young boys, who refused their commands, and eventually bringing such young boys into submission like one would, wild animals! I tried that method with my children some time ago to see how the experiment would work out, and they all laughed at me, saying: Slow mo mum, why that?! These kids just couldn’t stop having fun at my expense! When they asked me to explain that vibe, which they weren’t feeling. I told them, that I just felt like touching base with my Niaja vibe again, to which they answered: Ok, we have them in NETFLIX, go watch Nollywood and you will catch up again!

You may be one of the lucky ones, like most of us are, where you live in a home where your father, is a good shepherd, but let us not forget that there are girls and boys whose homes have literally become their prisons. In most cases, the wolf is not a father, but an uncle, or aunt who is either living in the house, or has come to visit. In some cases, it is a family friend, or some other wolf, who is in one way or the other acquainted with the family.

Such topics are supposed to be openly discussed and should no longer be a taboo as too many girls are forced to become mothers to their father’s child or children, while some mothers become co-conspirators to such evil as to protect the reputation of a wolf!

Think about what kind of peace would be found in such a family, regardless of the impeccable family pictures they could be presenting to the public, it is what I call satanic, or deceptive peace because on one hand, the wife and mother, within her heart has nothing but resentment and hatred for the evil husband for such iniquity, while on other hand, the daughter, has to live with such hatred, unforgiveness, deception, lies, and trauma for the rest of her life, and regardless of how the wolf keeps compensating her till the day he eventually kisses the grave, nothing will make it easier for her! Therefore, don’t force such people to forgive too soon, or to keep loving, and entertaining such a wolf, but rather, encourage them not to continue living together under one roof, in order to stop the evil from leavening the whole lump; family unit! SOMETIMES, forgiving some offenders, and depending on the magnitude of the offense, is a process, and can only be truly attained over the course of time.

Now, the mother per se, could try her best to curb her hatred for the wolf, as failure to do that would obviously make the child which has now been conceived in such unholy manner to see her as the wicked grandmother, who doesn’t love him, without understanding where her hatred, and rage against the wolf, whenever it has to do with him, could be coming from, thus, THE DARK FAMILY SECRET, as well as the evil associated with it, festers within the home! To be honest, and transparent in my assessment of such a horrible situation, God forbid for such to be my case as I am a very impulsive person, thus, cannot fathom what I would have done should I find myself in the situation of such a woman, wife, mother, and grand-mother. In such a scenario, the child born under such a circumstance is innocent of that crime and must not be treated as evil. The daughter is equally innocent as she is under the authority of her earthly father, but the problem with hiding such secrets is that in some cases, that particular daughter, over the course of time, would take the position of the “SALOME“, who would be calling the shots in that family. She would point to what it is, that she needs, and the wolf runs off to get it because he sure knows what is at stake for him, if he doesn’t! She dictates what should happen and what should not, and the wolf is obliged to obey, else, paternity test could be done and exposed to the public. Whoever dares to come near to the truth, or to that which is the heart’s desire of Herodias, and Salome, would immediately be thrust into troubled water as they would send off their emissaries, the wolf and his pack to attack that very one, like they did against John the Baptist.

• These two groups of people; Both the perpetrators and the victims are found very close to us; In families and in churches.

• They are in the pulpit as pastors, pastor’s wives, pastor’s sons or daughters.

• They are in families as fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, and in-laws.

Child of God, do you now understand, that false Christianity, whereby forced and speedy FORGIVENESS in all cases is being preached, is evil as it forces many, who have been badly wronged to go deeper into deception and darkness as opposed to being truly healed? TRUE FORGIVENESS with regards to those who live under the same roof requires, that you know who you are even forgiving. It required that the truth be exposed, and confessions be made, before the topic of forgiveness is brought to the table! Perpetrators, who love to bind sons and daughters of God, should not be allowed by the church to continue what they love to do, which is to gloss over the evil, which they have done to another and run into the Scripture, using it for public consumption to say, “Yes, according to our Savior, forgive one another, etc.” and immediately afterwards, they slam you with the next exhortation, and command, “respect your fathers and mothers in the lord, and those who are in authority over you, so that your days may be long.” What if the evil, that is done to that child of God, is the very thing that is chipping away from their long life, and not anything else?

QUESTION-TIME!

I do not subscribe to “that” obey before complaint rule, which some teachers used to haunt school kids with as I am no longer a little child, but an old woman, who must be treated as such, regardless of your truth; If you like me or not, as well as, if you accept it or not! If the truth be told, I cannot even remember ever having subscribed to it, as I have always questioned everything that smells foul to me, as a result, if it smells foul, and you do not want me to question it, then, we burn down that bridge; No time to waste. Therefore, let’s cut to the chase:

MY QUESTIONS TO THE CHURCH IS AS FOLLOWS:

• Since when has it become more important for the church to forgive wolves, while they are actively devouring the sheep?

• Since when has it become more important to keep the wolves very comfortable in their seats, while ignoring the souls of the lambs and even the sheep?

• Since when has it become more profitable for the kingdom of Heaven to protect the integrity of a soul-less, and a godless wolf as opposed to saving and protecting those of the children of God, who are hurting, broken, battered and bruised right under the roof of the church?

• Why should it be, that the demons who are not inside the church are now much easier to be cast out, than those inside the church?

• Why is it, that the moment demons that are outside of the church hear the word of God, they say: Please, do not torment us, just cast us out. In contrast, those of them within the church have become so comfortable within the church, so much so, that the moment they hear the word of God, they begin to laugh, mock the LORD God, His word, voice, and command. They even gather together and show a collective front against the LORD GOD, saying: We are the ones in charge here, once we come in, we do not leave, not even for Jesus, and the church is like – It is what it is?!

Child of God Almighty, hate me or love me, that notwithstanding, this is not being cynical, but rather, king Solomon, when he was in his right mind, talked about the evil activities that he witnessed under the sun. Thus, it is just an honest accusation that the Holy Spirit of the only God, to whom the Church belongs is making against the church…. And now, some smart reader might jump up exclaiming; “The Holy Spirit can never lay any accusation against His church!” My reply to you would be, “go and sit down somewhere, and just don’t even bother me, till you have finished reading the book of Revelation from chapter 1, all through to chapter 3.”

SINGLE IS NOT A DEATH SENTENCE!

Child of God, I have come to realize, that in most cases, a woman who is single, can talk without much restrictions. What I mean by that is, that she can talk much more freely! I’ve found love in talking, or should I rather say, in boldly expressing what the Holy Spirit is speaking to me about. It really feels good to express your innermost Godly thoughts, without considering if there is someone, on whose toes you may be stepping. There is nothing more liberating than that, except for the relationship with Jesus, of course. Being in a relationship requires, that you are considerate of the feelings of your significant other, friends, families, etc., which is one of the most precious aspects of every Godly relationship, thus, sometimes, it requires you to hold in, certain opinions, which could be very personal to you, and sometimes, outright controversial, depending on whom, or the people you are in a relationship with, in oder to make, and keep everyone happy. When you are single, you do not have that to struggle with, therefore, precious singles (men and women alike), being single is not a death sentence; In as much as two are indeed, better than one, yet, there are also some benefits in being single if you do it God’s way. Consequently, let’s stop crying over being single, but rather, use your singleness, as well as the duration of your singleness to glorify God Almighty.

PRAYER

With that said, sons and daughters of God Almighty, I wish you all a wonderful YEAR!

• I pray that the LORD GOD of all good beginnings, begin new and wonderful things in your lives, which He shall see to completion in the precious name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, amen.

• I pray that new wells of blessings spring up for you child of God, and may God help you to access them in the merciful name of our Savior Jesus Christ, amen.

• I pray that every evil, which the enemy has programmed into your life, waiting to manifest this year be annulled and destroyed in the most powerful name of Jesus Christ, amen.

• I pray that this is a curse breaking year, where you are redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, from the curse of the law, which has been written about you, or spoken over you in the merciful name of Jesus Christ, amen.

• I decree that this year, dark family secrets shall be revealed, in order to release those, who for the fear of men and the tradition of elders have long been bound by it, in the most powerful name of Jesus Christ, amen.

• I pray that this is a year where God Almighty, our good and faithful holy Father is mending broken homes, joining His sons and daughters together in Godly union, as well as slicing and dicing any relationship, and marriage that is of the devil, which is meant to be a prison house for the souls of His sons and daughters in the most powerful name of Jesus Christ, amen.

• Precisely to my SINGLES, who are genuinely seeking for their mates: You are wonderfully and beautifully made by God the Creator, thus, I pray that this year, God will connect you with the right one, whom He has for you, and not anyone He never had in mind for you. You will find your God-ordained mate in Jesus’ faithful name, amen.

• I decree the deliverance of your spirit and soul from demonic possession, oppression, and affliction in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

• By the blood of Jesus Christ, I decree over you child of God Almighty, the divine protection of God Almighty, from the enemy’s onslaught in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

• I decree prosperity and breakthrough over you child of God Almighty, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name, amen.

• I declare that doors, and windows of blessings are opened to you, even those the enemy has denied you access to in previous years, may they now be accessible to you in Jesus’ Christ faithful name, amen.

• I decree that the Holy Spirit, uses every means necessary to reveal secrets to you, which are important for you to know as it relates to your situation, and I also prophesy, that solutions be released to you child of God, in Jesus’ most merciful name, amen.

• I decree the healing of your body, child of God Almighty; Be healed by the stripes of Jesus Christ, amen.

• I decree that this year, many prodigal sons and daughters, must hear the voice of God Almighty, their true and only loving Father, thus, come out from amongst them; Out of darkness, and come back home (to their true and Godly Identities, and the kingdom of light), to our Heavenly Father, Who truly loves us and will not reject us as we genuinely come back to HIM in Jesus’ merciful name, amen.
• Child of God, all these, I pray to be done for you in Jesus Christ’s most merciful and powerful name, amen.
