THE CHILDREN’S BREAD
– MONTHLY DEVOTIONAL –
1st. May 2025
SCRIPTURE
‘“He also said to His disciples: “There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and an accusation was brought to him that this man was wasting his goods.
Verse 2. So, he called him and said to him, ‘What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be steward.’
Verse 3. Then the steward said within himself, ‘What shall I do? For my master is taking the stewardship away from me. I cannot dig; I am ashamed to beg.
Verse 4. I have resolved what to do, that when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.’
Verse 5. So, he called every one of his master’s debtors to him, and said to the first, ‘How much do you owe my master?’
Verse 6. And he said, ‘A hundred measures of oil.’ So he said to him, ‘Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.’
Verse 7. Then he said to another, ‘And how much do you owe?’ So he said, ‘A hundred measures of wheat.’ And he said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty.’
Verse 8. So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light.
Verse 9. And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home.
Verse 10. He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.
Verse 11. Therefore, if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
Verse 12. And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own?
Verse 13. No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”
Verse 14. Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him.
Verse 15. And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.
Verse 16. The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.
Verse 17. And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail.
Verse 18. Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced from her husband commits adultery.
Verse 19. “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day.
Verse 20. But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate,
Verse 21. desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover, the dogs came and licked his sores.
Verse 22. So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.
Verse 23. And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
Verse 24. Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’
Verse 25. But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.
Verse 26. And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’
Verse 27. Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house,
Verse 28. for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’
Verse 29. Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’
Verse 30. And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’
Verse 31. But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.'”
LUKE 16, NKJV.
Child of God Almighty, a wonderful and blessed new month to you. For this month, I would love us to read, study and meditate on the above Scripture. In summary, as to help those of us who are new with THE BIBLE, I want us to know that the Head of the CHURCH; Christ, neither wants us to run His Church like the world runs their business, nor does He want us to emulate the dishonest lifestyle and behaviors of the steward in the above SCRIPTURE, but like I had written or spoken to this regard, either in one of my devotionals or videos of years ago, He wants us to see how shrewd the people of this world are, when they are no longer in favor with their BOSS, thus, all that they do and how they go about their businesses, as to make sure that they prepare for the time they know would come. Hence, their preparation is, in order not to miss out on the same kind of PRIVILEGE they have always enjoyed with regards to riches, as well as being in the good books of those who would help them to stay in tune with that same kind of lifestyle. In LIKE MANNER, we who are the FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST, ought to be equally very intentional with regards to being in right standing with our own Holy GOD, the Almighty One, through HIS Christ and with regards to HIS HOLY THINGS, which He has made us stewards over; His Church, His flock, His TRUTH, HIS JUSTICE, HIS SPIRITUAL RESOURCES, HIS GIFTS, etc. Therefore, we are to be very protective over our relationship with our Holy God, just as the SCHREWD STEWARD was, with his cherished relationship with men (his cronies), who would bail him out when push comes to shove, as to make sure that his “staff of bread” is not broken. In similar manner Child of God, we ought to be intentionally careful with how we handle the holy things of God Almighty; His gifts, spiritual resources and the privilege of knowing Him and being known by Him, and all these, with our final state in mind, doing all that is Godly necessary, in order to make sure that for our part as the children of God Almighty who have received unmerited grace of Salvation from God through Christ, that we live our lives, handling the things of our Holy God in such a manner, that His holiness and sovereignty deserves. Consequently, in such a manner, that is worthy of our SALVATION; HIS unmerited and undeserved MERCY and GRACE towards us, so much so, that in the final analysis here on earth, be it with regards to when we fall out of favor with “this world” and with the people there-of; those in authority, spouses, parents, children, friends, foes, things and places, thus, are “rejected and hated by men” or even “THE WORLD” (John 15:18) for being “GODLY-OBEDIENT to the word, instructions, nature and assignments of God Almighty,” that in such situations, God Almighty will never reject or forsake us, but rather, proudly receive us (Psalm 27:10). Furthermore as to conclude this devotional for this month, when we eventually depart this world, which is at the appointed time of God’s grace for us, as well as, at the end of the age, as these are appointments, which each and every one of us must keep. As a result, when such times come upon us, by His grace and mercy, we who are His love Him in spirit and truth, would by no means end up missing out on THE ULTIMATE REWARD which is the ETERNAL REWARD of eternally being with our Holy God and Father, but like LAZARUS in the PARABLE above as told by Jesus Christ, we would be eternally vindicated, validated, protected, and blessed by GOD OUR HOLY FATHER, and in Him, amen.
FINALLY, to my precious and “RICH children in God Almighty,” it is very vital for us to understand, that while we strive to be, either FINANCIALLY CONTENT, FINANCIALLY COMFORTABLE, or FINANCIALLY RICH here on earth, we must not forget to do all, that is necessary by the help of God Almighty through the leading of His Holy Spirit, to be RICH IN THE SPIRIT, because being poor in the Godly things of the Spirit, is the worst kind of POVERTY anyone can be in, and may our good and faithful God help us to be rich in both, amen.
PRAYER
- Holy Father God, in Your Holy name as JEHOVAH JIREH, I ask You on behalf of Your children who belong to You and worship You in spirit and truth, that with regards to THEIR FINANCIAL SITUATIONS, locate them, and grant them victory over THE SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL WAREHOUSE OF THE STRONGMAN-THIEF in possession of the INHERITANCE, blessings, and financial prosperity, which You LORD GOD ALMIGHTY have given, gifted, and promised them. Consequently, set them and their financial blessings free from the DEMONIC-WAREHOUSE of the STRONGMAN-THIEF (SATAN) in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
- Most powerful and faithful Father God Almighty, I am praying to You, for the restoration of the FINANCIAL PROSPERITY that You rightfully gave to them, but which the strongman-thief has stolen, and refuses them access to. Therefore, I am not praying to You, Almighty GOD, to give them that which belongs to another person, but rather, I am praying to You Holy Father God, with regards to their own portion of financial prosperity, which You gave to them, even before the foundation of the world and said is theirs, and not another’s. Consequently, locate, overpower, bind, and expose THE STRONGMAN-THIEF, and repossess for Your children, that which You rightfully gave to them, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
- HOLY FATHER GOD, let there be supernatural rain of financial provision for them as to ease their financial burdens in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
- Thank You Holy Father God for answering my prayers on behalf of Your children, WHO BELIEVE IN YOU, amen.
Child of God, with regards to MONTHLY DEVOTIONAL, till the first of next month.
Jesus loves you.
Yours Sister – Susan.
